Booking a love hotel in Buenos Aires: a guide to not missing out on a room

Arriving at a hotel and finding a “fully booked” sign is one of the worst scenarios you can encounter, especially if you've come from across town after arranging to meet one of the escorts in Buenos Aires.

But the good news is that there are increasingly more hotel offers in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area that allow you to book in advance by phone, WhatsApp or from their official website.

So, to save you any further hassle, in this article I’ll show you which motels offer this service, how each booking system works and what details you’ll need to confirm your booking. Take note so that your next encounter is 100% stress-free.

Why it is advisable to secure a place before heading out

Although the traditional model of arriving, paying at reception and accepting whatever room is available works very well on a Tuesday afternoon, this tends to get complicated during weekends, on special dates or when you want a suite with a whirlpool bath and private garage without any hitch.

Therefore, making a prior reservation is going to be your masterstroke, as you'll be able to know what type of room you chose, ensure that the garage space is in your name and, best of all, you won't end up driving round and round the neighbourhood looking for a place.

Even some local places give you good discounts if you book online, so the benefit is twofold; therefore, if you've never tried this system, don't think twice and you'll see that it's more convenient and better for your wallet.

Love hotels in CABA and AMBA where you can book today

Hotel Dissors – Av. Gral. Paz, altura 900, Tinogasta / Dardo Rocha exit

It is one of the few premium-category love hotels in the area that has online booking enabled. It has 23 suites, all with a private garage, hydromassage or Scottish shower, Wi-Fi, LED TV and room service.

On their website, you can choose the room category and check-in time, and pay using any payment method. If you book online, you’ll receive an automatic 10% discount. It’s open 24 hours a day. What’s more, it’s one of the few places where you can choose the exact suite you want before you arrive.

If you need a traditional hotel outside the shift system, this platform allows you to book rooms online at 3-, 4- and 5-star hotels in Buenos Aires. They offer free cancellation, payment directly at the hotel reception and discounts of up to 75% on the overnight rate. Technically, they aren’t love hotels, but they serve the same purpose and your booking confirmation is sent to you instantly by email.

How the booking works in each case

Not all hourly hotels handle the reservation option in the same way. In those with their own web platform (such as Dissors or Summum), the process is super practical: you just choose the date, the category, pay online and receive a receipt that you simply have to show upon arrival at reception.

Instead, in those that operate via WhatsApp or phone (such as Eclypse or NG), the dynamic is more informal. That is to say, you call or send a message to check availability and, depending on the place, they just take down your name and that's it.

On the other hand, something you must remember in these cases is to ask them to confirm the check-in time and the type of room you are interested in; since if you are going to pay for a suite with a whirlpool bath, make sure they make it very clear to you in the chat. Never rest easy with a simple “yes, come along, everything's fine”.

What to consider before calling or clicking

First, you must have your ID card to hand, as it is compulsory to enter any love hotel in Argentina, even if you have paid for your booking online.

Secondly, pay close attention to the timetables. As we mentioned before, most of these places drastically cut the length of shifts, especially on Fridays and Saturdays after 21:00.

Thirdly, check the payment methods. Although almost all of them accept cash, cards or Mercado Pago, bear in mind that if you book online, it is very likely that you will need to pay at the time, via bank transfer or credit/debit card.

Finally, if you're going by car and have booked a suite with private parking, double-check that the space is included in the total rate to be paid. At some love hotels, the garage is charged for additionally, so you could be in for a surprise.

Questions to ask before booking

Can you book a love hotel without paying in advance?

This is going to depend on the place. That is to say, the ones with a web platform usually ask for full payment. Meanwhile, the ones that handle bookings via phone or WhatsApp just take down your name.

What happens if I am late for my reservation?

Each hotel has its own policies in this regard. However, some will hold your room for between 15 and 20 minutes; others, if you don't let them know, will simply give it to another customer waiting. So, if you're running late, don't hesitate to give them a call.

Is it safe to book a love hotel online?

Totally, as long as you do it from an official website or via well-known platforms like DayBreakHotels. The non-negotiable rule here is to avoid sharing your card details or passwords via WhatsApp.

How long does a booked shift last?

Generally, during the week (Monday to Thursday), shifts tend to be 3 to 4 hours. However, on Fridays and Saturdays after 21:00, these are reduced to 2 or even an hour and a half, depending on the category. When booking via the website, read this detail very carefully before confirming payment.

Can a prior reservation be cancelled at a telos?

On platforms such as DayBreakHotels, cancellation is free of charge right up until shortly before check-in. However, if you’ve booked through one of the hotels with its own website, it will depend on the terms and conditions you agreed to. If you’re not 100% sure you’ll be able to go, booking by phone gives you a bit more leeway to make last-minute changes.

How to get there without any fuss

If you are planning to go to a love hotel and it doesn't have a garage, you should bear in mind that many neighbourhoods have parking restrictions and the last thing you want is to deal with a fine after your encounter.

When booking, carefully calculate your travel times, especially if you are doing so on a Friday evening, as this will allow you to avoid the most heavily congested areas.

An expert tip is to keep the venue's phone number handy in case you get lost or feel you're going to arrive after your booked time.
