ROBOTS: THE SEX OF THE FUTURE AND/OR THE FUTURE OF SEX

Have sex with robots today doesn't seem like a very attractive idea. It would be more of a "freak" thing, or something from science fiction films and novels, not very desirable. Its mere enunciation brings with it a sense of coldness and rejection.

Judging by the models of sex robots that have been appearing without interruption, we could not be so strict.

Two companies are leading the way in this industry that many find "creepy", given the hyper-realistic appearance of the robots: Realbotix and RealDoll. They work together to create these artificially intelligent sex robots. The former develops the artificial intelligence needed to give these robots their partners' personalities. And the latter takes care of the "hardware" (in this case, the body of this "thing", so to speak).

The artificial intelligence that animates them allows them to have brief conversations, adapting their phrases to be more or less affectionate and sexy, depending on who they are interacting with. They are "customisable", as you can choose the colour of their hair, eyes, height, body measurements, etc.

These machines (which at first glance don't look that way) are set up to be "companion, friend or lover" depending on what you choose when you set them up. They even have a special protocol for "committing" to a romantic relationship. They can swear that they will "to love, honour and respect your fellow human being above all else"..

Will sex with robots one day be commonplace?

We don't know. For the time being, and although the appearance of these inventions impresses with their realism, they do not sound "natural" enough when spoken... for now. Let's remember that the "IA" (Artificial Intelligence) is advancing at a dizzying pace, perhaps even faster than the other "disruptive" technologies that are changing the world. And it is more secretive than any other, to protect commercial (and perhaps military?) secrets that may be crucial to human destiny. We are not exaggerating.

Therefore, we cannot rule out that these pleasure robots will become as convincing as a flesh and blood person, and have a legal status of "non-human persons.

This is already the case in some jurisdictions in various countries where animals have been so recognised. And having them as a partner. Or having them together with a partner... anything can happen. And it matters little what anyone thinks today about sex with robots. Surely, the unbridled technology we are seeing will soon remove all objections.

There were only a few of us, and then came the "Sextech".

You will have heard many times already terms like "Fintech" (financial technology, which includes in particular the famous "Fintech" companies) and "Fintech" (financial services companies). "cryptocurrencies); "Edtech" or "Edutech" (digital technology for education); "Insurtech" (digitalisation of the insurance industry) or "Healthtech" (health IT).

Well: We already have the "Sextech knocking at our door. That is, sex with robots, yes, but not only that.

Because we are talking about more than having sex with androids (or "gynoids" if they are in the form of women; language is also mutating at the overwhelming pace of these transformations and new words appear every minute).

In a few years it will be possible, for example, to caress someone even if they are thousands of kilometres away, to 3D print an exact replica of another person's genitals (human, let's be clear, at this point it is already necessary...). It will also be possible to coordinate their movements with an App for mobile devices, and even use technology that makes us feel the orgasms of several people simultaneously and in as long a sequence as we wish.

Seems overwhelming - it is!

"We are witnessing the growth of the digisexualspeople who have sex almost exclusively with machines," he says. Neil McArthurUniversity Professor and Director of the Centre for Professional and Applied Ethics at the University of Manitoba (Canada) with several books dedicated to this and other ethics-related subjects. "sexual ethicshis eye-catching speciality.

We repeat: is much more than this issue that today seems as absurd as having sex with robots. Experts dedicated to research on these issues, which are fundamental aspects of human life in the future, say that being able to have sex with an ex-partner will soon be a reality. It will also be possible to recreate people from different backgrounds. And not only choose the physique of our "sexbot" (sex robot), but also customise characteristics such as shyness, friendliness or intensity of sexual desire. Once thus personalised, we will be able to talk to them, go wherever we want (as with any couple) and experience erotic practices that perhaps we would not dare to propose with someone a little more "real"...

Are you ready for this future of robot sex and much more, which is almost here?
